The area is well connected with the Birmingham City Centre being just five miles away via the ring road. There are also many bus routes in the postcode as well as good local road connections to the M42 motorway.

Education wise, there are many primary and secondary schools in the postcode. As part of a regeneration programme, Maypole is also home to one of the largest primary schools in the area. In addition, The Oaklands School is a state-of-the-art secondary school in Acocks Green. There is also the Acocks Green Neighbourhood Learning Centre offering a number of educational courses for all ages.

The postcode is a vibrant and popular area of Birmingham with plenty of amenities and close links to the city centre. It has plenty of green spaces including parks like Sheldon Country Park, as well as the Acocks Green nature reserve. It is popular with families and young professionals due to its diversity, affordability, and easy access to the city centre.

Great mix of people, streets are generally kept clean. Parking in the area can be difficult and some of the driving around here needs to be investigated as they drive far to fast for to area and local conditions.
