The B19 postcode is an area in the Birmingham district of the UK. It covers the area of Winson Green, Ladywood, and parts of Handsworth and Smethwick. Winson Green is a thriving and vibrant area and Ladywood a historic and diverse suburb of Birmingham.

Winson Green consists of mostly Victorian terraced housing, many of which have been refurbished and extensively renovated. Most of the houses in the area are still family owned, some going back generations. There is a pub, The Prince of Wales, a few shops, two primary schools, a library, parks, and the Winson Green Youth and Community Centre.

Ladywood is less well known than Winson Green, and is known for its traditional butchers, florists, and fabric stores. The area consists mostly of Victorian-era housing, many of which have been converted into flats and apartments. There are two churches, St Stephen's Church and Southside Family Centre, a library, schools, and the Handsworth Leisure Centre.

Handsworth is also covered by the B19 postcode and is widely known for its rich cultural history. It is one of the most diverse areas of Birmingham, with a large Afro-Caribbean community as well as people from all other ethnic backgrounds. It was once a centre for the music industry, popular with leading performers of the 1980s. It is home to many independent businesses, local restaurants, and shops.

Smethwick also falls within the B19 postcode and is known for its historical industrial roots. It was a centre of metalworks and other industrial activities in the 19th century. Today, Smethwick is an important part of Birmingham's Urban Community, with many commercial outlets, businesses, schools, parks, and its own shopping centre.
