BT33 is a postcode district in the BT postcode area, located in the countryside of Northern Ireland. It spans around 8.8mi² and consists of several villages and hamlets, such as Drumbo, Hillsborough, Magheraconluce, Maze and Maghaberry - all part of County Down.

The BT33 postcode is roughly bordered by Hillsborough Forest Park to the south, the Main Ringfort of the early medieval settlement of Maghera to the east, and the Lagan River and the Castlescreen Lough to the west. The average house prices within the BT33 postal area are very high, with both detached and semi-detached houses mainly being found in the rural villages and hamlets.

BT33 is a primarily agricultural area, with some small-scale industrial activity in Hillsborough and Drumbo. The area is home to plenty of green fields, farms, small forestry and plenty of wild animals - making it a great area for local wildlife.

The Maze Long Kesh is a prominent landmark of the BT33 postcode area, as it was a major prison facility during the troubles in Northern Ireland in the late 20th century. It is now a former prison site, open for popular historical tours. It has been repurposed into a peacebuilding and conflict resolution centre, which can accommodate up to 12,000 people.

The BT33 postcode district is served by the Belfast-Dublin railway line and benefits from a modern and reliable public transport system, with excellent bus and train services. It is also connected to the M1 motorway, which links Belfast to the rest of Northern Ireland.

BT33 is also well known as an area of excellent schools and comprehensive universities. These include the prestigious Queen's University of Belfast and Magee college, situated in the heart of the postcode area.

In addition to its strong education system and transport infrastructure, BT33 postcode area also boasts two large castles. Cutlers Castle, built in the 17th century for the Cutlers family, still stands proudly in the shadows of Hillsborough Castle, the home of the Royal Family, which was once the seat of the Marquis of Downshire.
