Other settlements include Ansford, a small village in south-east Somerset with a post office, village store, primary school, and public houses; Pilton, a village located close to the junction of the A359 and A361; and Bruton, a large village situated on the A359. There are many places of interest in Bruton, including the 15th century St. Mary's Church and the National Trust's Stourhead Gardens.
Wincanton, also located in the BA10 postcode, is described as a busy small town. It is the main commercial centre of the area, with many local and national businesses based here. Wincanton also has a leisure centre, library, golf course and a number of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Compton Dundon is a small village located in South Somerset. It is home to a flint-framed church and two public houses; The Monk's Retreat and The New Inn. It is also a popular destination for walkers and cyclists, with many scenic walks through the surrounding countryside.
